Friends of Sanford Regional Airport,

Great news…runway 14-32 is again open.  We now have a new, striped runway intersection along runway 14-32 and all paving is complete on runway 7-25.  Taxiway “E” is also open full length…just watch for barricades blocking the entrance to closed runway 7-25.    Thanks to Pike Industries for staying on schedule, to Hoyle, Tanner and Associates for great engineering support and to the pilot community as there was not a single instance where an aircraft attempted to land or depart while the airport was closed.

Runway 7-25 will remain closed until late October to have new lights and signage installed, and be striped, grooved and re-striped.

Thanks to all tenants and users of the airport for your patience during the closure.

Dana
