With encouragement from Senator Susan Collins the FCC recently expedited the approval of the Town of Sanford’s UNICOM License Request and UNICOM Frequency Change request.

Effective immediately the Unicom/CTAF frequency for the Sanford Regional Airport is 123.075.

A Notice to Airmen has been issued and all necessary charting and publication firms are being notified to update their databases, charts, and documents.  Please use extra care in the vicinity of Sanford since there will always be someone who does not check NOTAMS or relies on old information.  Also, please help us get the word out by forwarding this email to other flight schools and pilots.
