WWII bombers Visit Pease
The B-17 Flying Fortress and the B-24 Liberator visited Pease International Airport for three days as part of the
Wings of Freedom Tour. The B-17 was built in 1945 and served in the Air/Sea 1st Rescue Squadron as a military transport plane.
The B-24 Liberator has the authentic nose art and was called the "Dragon and His Tail." It is the world's only fully restored plane of its kind.
Although the planes were getting ready to leave by the time I got there, I did get a chance to get a few pics before they left.
